Gordon McCurdy

Gordon McCurdy

Managing Director of NextGen Strategies, Mr. McCurdy is a leading strategy consultant, with special expertise in IP Telephony, Wireless and Optical Networking. Mr. McCurdy has managed projects on a wide variety of strategic issues for numerous leading multinational companies over the last ten years. His recent projects include:
 
    Developing a Strategic Plan and Marketing Plans for the Internet Services Division of a major LEC, where he sized the markets and developed strategies to launch four new services in IP Telephony, strategies that were used to raise significant funding from the Executive Committee as well as launch the services,
 
    Evaluating the US, two US regional and several overseas national markets and recommending strategies to develop and launch an Internet and a Wireless Data Portal targeting a major ethnic group for a leading LEC,
 
    Assessing problems in launching a Customer Care web site for a leading IXC,
 
    Projecting the future of Wireless B2B Solutions for the Executive Committee at a leading IXC,
 
    Evaluating existing, 2.5 and 3 Generation mobile wireless technologies for an international Wireless Service Provider to determine whether it had identified an opportunity to re-deploy "undervalued" existing Wireless technologies in Third World countries, and
 
    Helping a highly innovative e-payments company to develop a comprehensive corporate strategy in consumer gift giving and corporate incentives and rewards.
 
    In the past, Mr. McCurdy served as VP or Director of Marketing and Strategic Planning for several Consumer Products companies. In those positions, he designed and implemented hands-on numerous successful Marketing and Corporate strategies. In all, he has developed more than twenty comprehensive Business Plans or Strategic Plans for employers or clients, and rolled out numerous Marketing Plans from planning to launch to evaluating ROI.

Mr. McCurdy holds a BA from Dartmouth College, an M.Phil from the University of Cambridge and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.

Ed Resor

Ed Resor

Senior Consultant and Principle, NextGen Strategies, Mr. Resor specializes in telecommunications strategy and project implementation, with special emphasis on mobile wireless, wireless data and e-commerce. He has carried out major consulting projects in these fields throughout the world for leading IXC's, LEC's, and Hardware and Software Developers.

Mr. Resor worked as a management consultant with McKinsey & Co. in its Telecommunications practice for many years. In addition to his role in NextGen Strategies, Mr. Resor is currently President of Somalia Telecom, is launching Kenya Telecom, having bid successfully for wireless service franchises in that country, and is launching a telecom company in the Congo. He has a detailed knowledge of wireline, wireless and Internet technologies, including hybrid telephone systems, for example using truck radios and satellites to connect with conventional telephone systems worldwide and manage communications from remote rural areas.

In the past, Mr. Resor served as Country Director for a leading non-profit in Sudan for five years. He has focused on bringing telecommunications technologies to developing countries.

Mr. Resor holds a BA from Yale College and an MPPM (Masters in Public and Private Management) from the Yale School of Management.

Eileen McKeough

Eileen McKeough

Associate Consultant, NextGen Strategies. Ms. McKeough specializes in marketing and operations for telecommunications companies internationally. She has completed major Telecom projects in four countries in Africa and Asia, helping develop an international service for the Government of Eritrea, designing a Business Development strategy to provide telephone service in rural Bangladesh, and negotiating interconnect agreements for Grameem Telecom in Bangladesh.

Similarly, she has managed international operations for the Somali Telecom Group, establishing satellite circuits, opening traffic routes, negotiating settlement rates and managing payments, and evaluating new business opportunities. She has also evaluated marketing and operations and implemented recommendations for International Wireless in Cote d'Ivoire. She has also evaluated telecom technologies for several developing countries to meet local geographic, social and economic needs.

Ms. McKeough holds a BA from Washington University, studied at the Institute for American Universities in Avignon, France, and has an MBA from the Yale School of Management.
